Disneyland!

Image
Papang, Mom, Luke and Neil's first time at Disneyland on August 8!  My first trip to Disneyland was sooo long ago so this was a treat for everyone. Cousins Our goal was to enjoy the park at a relaxed pace, doesn't matter if we're not able to see or do everything.  We enjoyed a few rides, like Dumbo, the carousel, Storybook Land boat and Autopia. Dumbo Ride This was a great show.  We enjoyed this a lot! We went back to the hotel to rest with plans to go back for the fireworks.  Brian, Cynthia and Timmy met us at the hotel and Richard spent the night with them.

San Diego August 2014

Two weeks ago, we took a flight to San Diego to see my sister Nang Lani's family and.... Papang and Mommy!  This US trip for my parents has been in the plans for a very long time and it's has finally happened.  So we planned to get together before school starts for the kids. Our big pre-flight adventure on this trip was that we got bumped off.  But it was voluntary though.=)  Delta offered $500 flight vouchers and overnight hotel stay for anyone who will take the morning flight instead.  We decided to take it because $500 x 3 is a great deal! We spent most of the vacation at Nang Lani's house and one full day at Disneyland in Anaheim (another post).  Here are some pictures! We did a belated birthday celebration for Neil with a special cake designed with his current favorite, Lego Movie.   Thank you Tita Lani, Tito Chuck, Kuya Dong and Kuya Luke! The boys swam one morning. And we took some family pictures.

Sandy Springs Farmers Market + Big Trees Forest Preserve

Two weeks ago, we went to the Sandy Springs Farmers Market .  It happens every Saturday, between April and November for the outdoor season.  Our main reason for the visit was to buy Georgia peaches to take to San Diego.  I miss this kind of vibe and environment from the Salcedo Saturday Market in Makati.  Fewer vendors and buyers here though.  We got our peaches, walked around a little bit then left. On the way home, we stopped by the Big Trees Forest Preserve.  I found the park on the map and we decided to do a quick detour.  We have to go back another time and stay longer.
