Singapore Part 5 - Gardens by the Bay and DUKW Tour

Gardens by the Bay 18 Marina Gardens Dr, Singapore 018953 http://www.gardensbythebay.com.sg/en/home.html DUKW Tour Singapore Flyer Tourist Hub http://www.citytours.sg/funveeavtour.html Our original plan was to do the DUKW Tour in the afternoon and proceed to Gardens by the Bay in the evening of the same day.  We missed both because we went to the wrong DUKW tour provider (Suntec City instead of Singapore Flyer!) and then had very little time in the evening (after dinner at Marina Bay Sands foodcourt)  to really enjoy the 2 domes in Gardens by the Bay so we did not go in anymore.  Nevertheless, we still had fun and we have one funny story.=) DUKW Tour

Singapore Part 4 - Legoland

Image
Legoland Malaysia 7, Jalan Legoland, Bandar Medini 79250 Nusajaya, Johor, Malaysia http://www.legoland.com.my/ Legoland is in Malaysia but since our base for this vacation was Singapore, I'm keeping the title.=) This was just a day trip for us.  We hired a van that picked us up from Punggol Field (stayed with the R family) going to Legoland, then back in the evening.  It was sooo hot in the morning when we arrived then rained again in the afternoon. Legoland is a good-sized park, and by that I mean it's large enough that you fill the whole day with activities, but not too overwhelming even with little kids.  We were able to do most of the rides. The whole gang! Four families with 6 kids. Where to go next kids? (photo from Josh) Then it rained.=) Kiddie rides. The Tower The Dragon! Thankful for this stroller that Josh and Dida let us borrow for the day. Good night, Legoland!

Singapore Part 3 - Singapore Zoo

Singapore Zoo 80 Mandai Lake Rd, Singapore 729826 http://www.zoo.com.sg/ This is one of our favorites on this trip. Neil really enjoyed the shows and even volunteered in one (I was so proud). He wanted to take pictures with the animals ("Mommy, take a picture!") and was amazed by many of the creatures.  The last time he was in a really big zoo was in Atlanta before he turned 2.  He does not remember that anymore so this visit is really special. Our game plan was to catch all the shows in the morning and then roam around in the afternoon.  We had to rush from one show venue to the other, which involved piggybacking Neil and speedwalking. We were able to catch all the shows but were hindered from roaming around freely because of the rain.  We waited for some time at the reptiles area because it was pouring.  Then Richard got all of us ponchos and we were able to explore under the rain.=) Venue for the first show Neil wanted to volunteer but did not
