Singapore Part 3 - Singapore Zoo

Singapore Zoo
80 Mandai Lake Rd, Singapore 729826

This is one of our favorites on this trip. Neil really enjoyed the shows and even volunteered in one (I was so proud). He wanted to take pictures with the animals ("Mommy, take a picture!") and was amazed by many of the creatures.  The last time he was in a really big zoo was in Atlanta before he turned 2.  He does not remember that anymore so this visit is really special.

Our game plan was to catch all the shows in the morning and then roam around in the afternoon.  We had to rush from one show venue to the other, which involved piggybacking Neil and speedwalking. We were able to catch all the shows but were hindered from roaming around freely because of the rain.  We waited for some time at the reptiles area because it was pouring.  Then Richard got all of us ponchos and we were able to explore under the rain.=)

Venue for the first show

Neil wanted to volunteer but did not get picked.  We were so proud just for the fact that he raised his hand.

He got picked to participate in the second show. He was very happy and excited.  They were made to hold hoops for the dogs to go through.

Third show was all about the elephants. I love this.  Amazing!

We met up with the H family for the fourth show.

Waiting for the rain to stop.

The lions are taking shelter, too.

We were wet from the rain and went inside the very cold penguin enclosure.

Pygmy hippopotamus.
