These Days

This is officially our first Christmas at this house because we were not completely moved in last year. It's made more memorable because we had family from Wisconsin and Pennsylvania spend the holidays with us. First time to get the kids matching pajamas.  Decorating a gingerbread house has become a fun tradition. Cooked lechon belly for the first time for noche buena. Opened presents on December 25. This was on Christmas morning, after we opened presents. It was the first time skating for Neil, Ela and Em. :)

Downtown Chattanooga December 22, 2018 Lunch at Purple Daisy - excellent BBQ restaurant. We've eaten here 3 times. The antique carousel at Coolidge Park.

We had family over for Christmas (my sister and her husband, Rich's brother and his wife) and our first group trip was to Rock City in Chattanooga, TN. We have been here a few times but we always want to take visitors here.

Ela had her first ballet recital in December. We were very excited for this day. They had 2 days of dress rehearsal before the final show. It's her first time to wear her costume and she loved looking like a fairy/princess. I volunteered to stay with the kids backstage (guiding them to the stage and back to waiting room) on show day but I had priority seats during the rehearsal. Richard and Neil watched the show. She wanted to keep going so we have enrolled her for the next season, too.
