These Days

It's the milestone birthday! Richard managed to "surprise" me with a party/get-together with our Filipino friends 2 days before my birthday. "Surprise" because there were so many signs days before and on the day itself. Even though I had suspicions, I just went along with it. :) It was still a surprise just because I didn't know exactly what was happening.  So thankful for friends and family, near and far.

This was a fun day! We attended our first Renaissance Festival in May. My manager said his kids enjoyed it so I thought we should also check it out. The drive was more than an hour and we made sure we got there just as they opened. Many people were already waiting outside the gate but it wasn't too crowded once we got in. There were shows happening throughout the day, rides and attractions, food and interesting characters. We had a great time. :)

The main reason we went to Wisconsin in May was to attend the wedding of Rich's older brother. It was good to see family all together to celebrate this special event.
