Fernbank Museum

Image
We were frequent visitors at the Fernbank Museum in 2016 when we had an annual membership. We have not been back since because we prefer to change up where we get memberships every year. Since we had family visit this year, we decided to get an annual membership again to take advantage of the free passes. I looked at old pictures and Ela was so little when we were last here. She had so much fun exploring the outdoor areas this time. As a parent, seeing your kids fully engaged in activities and enjoying their surroundings is priceless.  We watched the Volcanoes 3D movie, too.

Winter Ballet Recital

Image
This is Ela's third ballet recital and I will never not be excited about seeing her and the class perform on stage. Richard has been taking her to class so I haven't seen her practice this dance. It was a treat to see it all come together. This year's recital is entitled 'What is Christmas.' For the record, this is the first time I got her hair in a bun. Lots of hair pins and hair spray involved. :) The moment she saw me during curtain call.

Christmas Packages

Image
Christmas Packages is our church's annual Christmas event that is packed with activities for the whole family. This year, Ela's choir performed Christmas carols at the chapel and it was a highlight for me. There were face painting, puppet show, cake walk (we won a whole cake!), photobooth, etc. Ela's choir Walk through the Christmas story Face painting Making Christmas cards for underprivileged kids

Baby's First Photoshoot

Image
Our church has a December tradition of hosting a photoshoot for babies born during the year. This is our first year participating with Leanne. I so appreciate having photos especially of the whole family.

Neil's Violin Recital

Image
When we found out during the summer that Neil will need to learn to play the violin for 6th grade orchestra, we signed him up for violin lessons so he can learn the basics. He continued with lessons during the school year and had his first recital on December 6 at a mall. They performed Christmas carols as a group and each student performed individually as well. Neil has been practicing the songs for weeks and I'm just so impressed at his progress. s

Project 52 - November 2019

In the year 2016 and 2017, I embarked on a project to take pictures of the kids weekly. I love looking back at those posts but somehow I stopped doing it in 2018. I have decided to restart it again, especially now with baby Leanne. Week 45 Leanne at 8 weeks Week 46  Week 47 Week 48
