Daniela is 2!

Our precious Ela turned 2 on April 18. She's learning new things, saying new words and developing a distinct personality. We celebrated her birthday a few days early on Easter Sunday with our Pinoy friends and on her actual birthday, just us at home.

A few things we want to remember at this age:
  • She has discovered her outdoor voice and uses it to emphatically tell us what she wants. (Feel free to interpret.=)) Which also makes it so special if she calls me 'Mommy' in her soft voice.
  • She can sing! She sings Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Alphabet Song, Eentsy Weentsy Spider and Frozen songs.
  • She likes rice and can eat it even without ulam. Pinoy kid. We hear "More rice!" a lot. =)
  • She likes to remove her socks and shoes in the car.
  • Like kuya, she likes to read. She chooses books from the shelf and ask us to read to her.
  • She likes to run but tends to trip a lot because she's flat-footed like me.
  • When we pray before meals, she also folds her hands and says 'Amen' like everyone. She wants to sit on my lap during meals and eat from my plate.
  • She makes funny faces.
  • She is more comfortable with strangers now. We can leave her at the kids room at church or YMCA and she doesn't cry.
Happy birthday, Ela! We love you very much.
