Playing Baseball

One of the benefits of moving closer to our church is being able to participate in its many activities, like baseball. The church organizes a seasonal baseball league for boys and Richard signed Neil up. He hasn't done this before, and we don't watch the sport at all so this was out of our comfort zone. At one point, I even insisted that he pull out because he still has karate and there will be expenses for new baseball gear. But Richard talked to the coach and they said no experience necessary so we decided to just let Neil try it. And he enjoys it! They have games every Saturday (2-0 so far) and he's been able to hit the ball and make a few bases.

It's fun to cheer for Neil, along with the other parents of the kids on his team. This has become one of the things I look forward to on the weekend. :)
