These Days

We rarely find ourselves in downtown Atlanta, so it's good to have visitors -- we reacquaint ourselves with the attractions as we show them around. We checked out the CNN Center, Centennial Olympic Park and the area where the Georgia Aquarium and Coca-Cola Museum are located.

Papang's birthday was on June 23 soI took the day off work. We had buffet lunch at Nori Nori, then drove to Stone Mountain Park in the afternoon. It was hot but windy and pleasant up on the mountain.

More sightseeing on our last day in NY. We were able to see a lot of New York on this trip given that we did not strictly follow the planned itinerary. I'm glad to have shown this city to my parents and that my sister Em was able to join us from LA as well. Many thanks to my cousin Ate An who brought us food for the first day (Jollibee and Red Ribbon + home cooking) and guided us around the city. One for the books! We left the schedule of last day in NY pretty much open, as a catch-all day in case there are places we missed or wanted to go back to. We ended up at the Empire State Building in the morning. I was anticipating long lines but it was surprisingly fast since we were there early. It was an overcast day but the views are still breathtaking.
