New York Nov2010: Day 2

Ok, what's left to see of NY after the very packed first day?  Still a lot!

November 21, 2010.  We started the day a little late, around 10AM.  The first agenda was to go see the Brooklyn Bridge.  We took the train from Newark, got off near the NY City Hall, and walked the whole length of the bridge.  It was a relaxing walk and we just took our time taking in the sights.  It was chilly, thus the gloves.

The Brooklyn Bridge
It was almost lunchtime when we got to the other side.  I posted an FB status about what I saw in NY and someone suggested we check out Grimaldi's.  It's on the Brooklyn side of the bridge so that was our destination for lunch.  They weren't open yet when we got there but a considerable queue has formed outside.  Good sign!  The food must be really good.  Since we were a party of 2, we got ahead of the big groups.  Yey!

Grimaldi's - Best pizza ever!
And the pizza was superb!  I will declare that it's the best pizza I've ever had.  Ever. =)  If you are ever in NY, make this a part of your itinerary.

After lunch, we went to the Guggenheim Museum.  Another memorable experience for me because it was my first time to see the works of great non-Filipino artists.  I remember reading Humanities books and seeing these works in the pictures, in black and white.  So this was surreal.  Sadly, I lost Em's blue scarf here. :(

After Guggenheim, we crossed the street towards Central Park.  We just took a few photos and stayed a few minutes.

We headed back to NJ and stopped by Target for last-minute pasalubong.  By this time, my feet were very tired from two days of walking.  So, we called it a day/night, but not before getting BonChon chicken for dinner.

Thanks, Joel!  And thank you, NY!
