Christmas in Nevada

We originally planned to spend the Christmas break in California, split between Richard's sister in LA and my sister in San Diego. However, Rich's sister moved to Henderson, Nevada in early December so we had to change our plans accordingly.

It turned out for the best because Nevada gave us more options on parks to visit in Utah and Arizona. Also, it's been almost 5 years since I've been to Las Vegas, Rich was way before that, and then first time for the kids. A new place is always exciting, especially if anchored with the familiar (family) as well. There will upcoming posts on the road trip but for now, here are some snapshots in Nevada.

Christmas morning

No visit to Las Vegas is complete without seeing the fountains at Bellagio. We were there on December 22 and saw just one show because it was cold outside. This was the only time we were at the strip. I would have liked a daytime visit but it didn't happen. Something for next time.

A stopover at Max's was also planned because we miss Filipino food (that we didn't cook ourselves). So happy to have tasted our favorites again.

Another thing Las Vegas is known for is the buffet restaurants so we had to go to one on this trip.

We also went to a nearby park one afternoon.
