PDK Airshow

Last Saturday we went to see the Good Neighbor Day Airshow at the Peachtree DeKalb airport. The event was from 12-5PM. We arrived around 2:30 and stayed for about two hours. It was bright and sunny but also breezy so perfect weather to be outdoors. There were aircrafts parked on the grounds, exhibition/stunt flights, and some side attractions like bouncy houses for the kids, vendors, etc. It was a great family friendly atmosphere.

We later found out that there was a fatal crash later in the day. The pilot was doing a stunt and was unable to recover from a dive due to high winds. Sad and tragic end to what was otherwise an enjoyable event.
