Neils' First Movie - Kung Fu Panda 2

From KUNGFUPANDA.COM

We finally took Neil to watch his first movie last Sunday.  We watched Kung Fu Panda 2 at Cash and Carry.  He did very well and stayed in our seats the whole time.  We were 4 adults + Neil, so he had room to move about.  Sometimes he's on my lap or Richard's or on his own seat.  Of course he couldn't help talking ("What's that?", "Oh, no!", "Fighting!" or calling out whatever he sees on screen) but I'm glad it didn't seem to bother the other people.  There were a lot of kids (and adults) who were laughing out loud and Neil would join in as well.

Low-res camera phone pictures.

I don't know how much he understood or will remember out of the story but he seemed to enjoy it a lot.   For me, the combination of characters he already knew (we've seen Kung Fu Panda 1 multiple times on DVD), a kid-friendly movie, the size of the theater (not too overwhelming), and timing (2nd weekend so fewer people) all came together to create this positive experience.

We might watch Cars 2 next.

Sidestory:
Richard insisted on doing the groceries Saturday night, after we arrived from Bonifacio High Street.  I was dissuading him since our plan was to shop on Sunday instead.  He insisted on going so I let him.  When he arrived, he took out 5 cereal boxes which was extraordinary for us.  Then gets ko na!  Nestle has a promo for Kung Fu Panda tickets.=)  Buy P250 worth, get 1 ticket free... Hehe...

The rest of the tickets were Em's treat.  Thanks, Em!
