Malls and Holiday Monday

If you live in the city, the easiest places to get to that both kids and adults can enjoy are the malls.  I would love to go to a park but there isn't a good one that's nearby.  So, to the malls we go, every single week.  Our usual hangout is Greenbelt 1/5 because it's a very short drive and has everything we need.  Neil used to have weekend classes at Gymboree and then we would spend time at Fully Booked.  He knows the way between these two places and goes straight to the kids' section where we can easily spend and hour or so reading.

Bonifacio Global City used to be our mall of choice because of the open space, public art and pets.  Most of the restaurants here are too pricey for us though.  If we need to eat, it's usually at Krispy Kreme or some other coffee shop.  We used to frequent Fully Booked at BGC, too.  But ever since we started attending church at 8 in the morning, we haven't been there because it's too early for the shops to open.

We've started going to Power Plant more often for a change of (mall) scenery.  We like that it's never too crowded and they have a wide variety of stores for window-shopping.  Neil likes watching/listening to the piano players at the ground floor.  They have a huge Fully Booked here, too, which is always good.

Holiday Monday (Eid'l Adha), we stayed at home most of the day since Richard had to work.  He was home early evening and we decided to go to Power Plant for what's left of the holiday.  We ate dinner at Banana Leaf.  It was ok.

Christmas is in the air.

I appreciate mall decors for making me long for the holidays and all the good things it brings.
