Bohol May 2011: Itinerary

I have been to Bohol multiple times before, practically all summers during my elementary and high school years and a few during college.  My last visit was in 2003 with Richard, before we were married.  That was 8 years ago!

Bohol is Mommy's home province, thus the multiple visits.  We decided to visit again this time because the timing was right.  Papang and Mommy will be there after visiting us in Manila, Neil is old enough to manage the trip, Richard didn't have work yet*, and I only needed to take a couple days of leave.  We also found cheap fares so it was all set.  This year's summer destination is Bohol for May 6-10, 2011.

The day before our flight, Richard got confirmation that he needed to start work on the 9th. :( Bummer!  In the end, we decided that he leave on Sunday, May 8.  The rest of us will stick to the original schedule.

This was our 2-day Bohol itinerary:

DAY 1 (May 7)
  • We left around 8:30AM from Dao
  • Quick stop at the cemetery - Lolo and Lola's graves (8:45AM)
  • Sagbayan Peak (10:00AM)
  • Lunch at Tany's Chicken (11:20AM)
  • Carmen Chocolate Hills (12:10PM)
  • Man-Made (I say God-made!) Forest (1:10PM)
  • Sevilla Hanging Bridge (1:30PM)
  • Loboc Tarsier Center (2:10PM)
  • Short stop at Alburquerque Church (2:40PM)
  • Baclayon Church/Museum (2:50PM)
  • Blood Compact site (3:30PM)
  • Bohol Bee Farm (3:50PM)

DAY 2 (May 8)
  • We left Dao at 5:00AM
  • Panglao (5:40AM)
  • Balicasag Island (7:20AM)
  • Virgin Island (9:20AM)
  • Bohol Bee Farm again (11:50AM)

The things that we did not see/do on these trip were: Hinagdanan Cave, Loboc River Cruise and E.A.T. in Danao.  You can easily add the cruise to Day 1 instead of the Bohol Bee Farm and Hinagdanan Cave added to Day 2.  I think E.A.T. needs a whole day if you really want to do the activities.

Transportation option here.

Details and pictures to follow. =)
